Chemtura fattens prices
Soaring raw material costs of tallow, palm oil and soybean oil has forced Middlebury-based Chemtura Corp. to increase the prices for all of its fatty-acid based products. The products, including Hystrene, Industrene, Neustrene and Kemester, will go up by a minimum of 5 cents a pound for non-formula based products and 2 cents a pound for formula-based products.
