Boxborough-based Lightower Fiber Networks has opened a new office in midtown Manhattan.
The company, a fiber network and bandwidth service provider, said the office will support increasing customer demand in the New York City and New Jersey areas.
The office is located at 505 Eighth Ave., between 35th and 36th Streets.
Rob Shanahan, CEO of Lightower, said in a press release that the firm has added more than 100 commercial buildings throughout the New York metro area in the last six months.
In total, Lightower's network services 325 commercial buildings in New York-New Jersey.
Lightower's growth has been fueled by a string of acquisitions, including its purchase of Long Island-based Open Access and New York-based Lexent Metro Connect.
