The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce has hired Bonnie Biocchi as president and CEO, replacing Ted Welte, who will retire Feb. 26.
Biocchi previously worked for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development as the regional director for the MetroWest area. Before that, she was the executive director of the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Biocchi was chosen from among more than 60 applicants from all over the country.
She lives in Groton.
Welte has led the chamber for almost 20 years.
