Beer sales spike on Independence Day

If it seems like everyone has a beer in their hand next week, they probably do. The Institute says that the brewing industry contributes nearly $190 billion annually to the nation's economy including more than 1.7 million jobs. August A. Busch IV, president and CEO of Anheuser-Busch, said that beer has helped drive the nation's economy since its inception, saying George Washington and other founding fathers "proudly promoted" the brewing industry.
