At Webster Five, Nicholas S. Lynch might seem to have a by-the-numbers type job, maybe buried in paperwork. He sees it as being trusted with a role in one of the most important decisions in someone’s life: buying a home. And he’s good at it. Lynch, a lifelong Auburn resident, has led Webster Five’s residential lending team to nearly double loan volume from the time he joined in 2015 through last year.
His closed-loan volume rose nearly that much – 87% – from 2016 through 2019. As for finding a right home to live in, Lynch is happy to look forward to raising his children in his hometown for years to come. He’s been an Auburn Town Meeting member for the past six years and serves on the town’s Planning Board and Zoning Bylaw Review Committee, his way to give back to where he grew up. When he’s not toiling in any of those capacities, Lynch has sat on the Nichols College alumni board of advisors and is the professional development committee member for the Real Estate Association of Central Massachusetts, where he works closely with new real estate professionals.

What pre-pandemic activity did you take for granted? Getting a routine hair-cut.
What is your dream job? I’d love to be a motivational speaker. There is something about people who can motivate others by connecting to them through sharing their own experiences, and imploring others with the hope those words can profoundly influence another person to achieve their own objectives and goals.
