$1.5M For Winchendon School
The Winchendon School has received a $1.5 million gift, the largest in the private school's history.
The school said the donor is an alumnus from the 1960s, but did not reveal his name.
The money will fund several initiatives, including the construction of a new dormitory, to be completed in the spring. The donor has also committed to match new giving by both current and new donors.
In conjunction with the gift, the school is also establishing a planned giving society to encourage supporters to include the school in their estate plans.
