Worcester native promoted in Connecticut

Sean Rose of Worcester, the new executive director for JRI Connecticut.

Sean Rose of Worcester has been named the executive director of the child trauma care service provider JRI's Connecticut division.

JRI, which is based in Needham, operates 10 centers in Connecticut to help children who've dealt with trauma, mental illness or cognitive impairment. Most of those services are delivered in the northeast region of the state, but they also stretch south to Norwich and to New Britain in Central Connecticut.

Rose joined JRI in 2006 as an assistant program director, where he played a key role in developing the van der Kolk Center at Glenhaven Academy in Marlborough. He was more recently the director of development and operations for JRI Connecticut.

Rose has also been a part of the Trauma Center at JRI’s adjunct training faculty since 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a minor in nonprofit management from Lesley University in Cambridge and a master’s degree in education from American International College in Springfield.
