Little Rock, Ark.-based ThermoEnergy Corp., which has a division in Worcester called CASTion, lost $15.4 million in the first nine months of the year on revenue of $2.1 million.
In the same period a year ago, the company brought in $2.6 million and lost $10.1 million.
The company develops and manufactures systems that separate ammonia from wastewater, as well as other similar technologies.
It recently won a $27 million contract with New York City for systems to remove ammonia from the wastewater treated by one of the city’s treatment plants.
ThermoEnergy is also in a strategic alliance with a firm to recover and recycle airplane deicing fluid.
