Worcester-based Bollus Lynch LLP, one of the largest accounting firms in Central Massachusetts, has merged with Singer & Lusardi LLP, another Worcester accounting business.
The merger, effective Nov. 1, saw the combined firm operate under the Bollus Lynch name, according to a press release from the firm issued the day the merger went into effect. The combined firm will operate from Bollus Lynch’s existing headquarters at 89 Shrewsbury St.
“Being able to grow the firm by adding the seasoned professionals from Singer & Lusardi LLP is the perfect fit for us, as we’re committed to being a locally owned and operated firm supporting our clients and community,” Michael Bollus, co-managing partner at Bollus Lynch said in the press release.
Singer & Lusardi LLP was founded in 1929, according to the firm’s LinkedIn profile, with its website listing three CPAs at the firm.
“While we are excited to offer our clients many new benefits, we’re also pleased to have the continuity of our entire team being part of this merger,” Maryann Copeland, co-managing partner of Singer & Lusardi, said in the press release. “We could not be more pleased to have found a partner like Bollus Lynch LLP to join forces with.”
Bollus Lynch has 32 employees and 12 CPAs, according to data provided to the WBJ Research Department, making the firm the fifth largest accounting firm in Central Massachusetts prior to the merger.
Financial terms, as well as the new employee count of the combined firm, were not disclosed.
Founded in 1989, Bollus Lynch’s merger with Singer & Lusardi comes about 10 years after the firm merged with the Kashuk, Bourgault, Kittredge & Frustaci accounting firm of Worcester.
