ECM Plastics Inc. of Worcester has leased industrial warehouse space in Clinton to accommodate a growing product line, according to the company's president.
The company signed a five-year lease for 48,000 square feet of space in Clinton at 111 Adams St., a large industrial building owned by National Industrial Portfolio Borrower LLC.
The Stubblebine Co./Corfac International represented both ECM and the landlord in the transaction.
Wayne Marquis, ECM's president, said that ECM will remain headquartered at its approximately 120,000-square-foot facility on Millbrook Street in Worcester, but needs additional space to accommodate a 20-percent increase in manufacturing capacity brought on by higher order volume.
Marquis said that the company will initially use the space for storage, but will likely move some auxiliary operations from Worcester in the future. He said he expects to hire some new workers to add to the company's current workforce of approximately 140.
