Worcester-based Mass Megawatts Wind Power has announced Thursday the latest version of its solar tracking technology it says can improve power output by 60%.
The company’s Solar Tracking System repositions the solar panels throughout the day to capture more direct sunlight. According to the company, the latest version of this technology can produce a 60% increase to power generation.
Although the system has a higher upfront cost, when compared to traditional solar panels, the payback period is still less with the moving panels, Mass Megawatts said.
Mass Megawatts is headquartered in Worcester and produces wind and solar power technologies.
