Worcester Church Sold For $650K
St. Casimir Church, which has been vacant since a 2009 merger with St. John Parish, sold this week for $650,000 to a Worcester-based Pentecostal church, according to the Worcester Diocese.
The Church of the Pentecost USA Inc., which is based on Blackstone River Road, purchased the Providence Street church, attached rectory and three small house lots nearby.
The diocese said that it removed all consecrated items such as the altar and statuary, which is customary when a church is sold to a non-Catholic group.
