“Traffic is definitely down. My family and I have been shopping there since it opened and in the past two years the mall has really gone downhill. It’s dirty, it’s in ill repair (fraying around the edges), the signs are all faded outside, the landscaping is in very rough shape. If Simon Mall doesn’t do something soon about keeping the place up, it’s going to fail because consumers such as myself will stop going there.”
Damon Michaels on a report about the Solomon Pond Mall in a recent edition of our e-mail newsletter MetroWest495 Biz.

Fred Richards on news that Athol Memorial Hospital is looking to partner with another health care organization.

That’s on top of ATM fees, debit card fees, monthly service fees, check return fees, minimum balance fees, and just about every other fee you can imagine. I’ll stick with check cashers.”
Anonymous comment from a reader of an article about the rise of check cashers in the region that appeared in our May 25 print edition.
