MUNICIPAL UTILITIES
An article in our Sept. 26 issue that talked about efforts to make it easier for cities and towns to form their own electric utilities drew a response from an online reader regarding the utility that serves the former Fort Devens:
"This should remain in existence even after Devens land becomes a separate town or folds back to the surrounding towns, as it was before Fort Devens was founded and built by (the) federal government. The utility rightfully belongs to the taxpayers. All rights and ownership to the utility should pass to whatever township takes over."

CURBING WORKPLACE BULLIES
Our Sept. 26 article on how to deal with workplace bullying prompted this response on how victims can take a cue from victims of sexual harassment:
"Victims of sexual harassment may have workplace policies and legislation to protect them, but victims of bullying seldom have the same when subject to aggression, malicious rumors or gossip, social exclusion, undermining or impeding of a person’s work or opinions, unjustified exclusion from certain projects, removing areas of responsibility without cause, intruding upon a person’s privacy by pestering, stalking, or spying, rude behavior, destruction of property, assault or impossible deadlines."
