Rhode Island developers Churchill & Banks purchased a property at 244 Worcester St. in Grafton, from Millbury aerospace company Wyman Gordon for $9.2 million, after receiving approval for a 331,700-square-foot warehouse facility on the property in April.
The developer purchased, through an affiliated entity, C&B 99 Chestnut LLC, a 26.17-acre subdivision of Wyman Gordon’s 182.6-acre property along Worcester Street for the warehouse project. The sale was completed on Tuesday, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The developer proposed the warehouse in 2021. The 331,700-square-foot warehouse, slightly smaller than originally proposed, is expected to employ 300 total employees with 180 working on the largest estimated shift. The building will feature 65 loading docks.
The developer did not return a request for information about whether the firm has a tenant for the property or when construction might start.
