Viking Systems Sales Up 60%

Viking Systems of Westborough said it expects to report a 60-percent increase in sales for the first quarter of this year over the final three months of 2011.
The manufacturer of visualization software for minimally invasive surgeries said it expects to report about $3.5 million in sales for the quarter, up from $2.2 million in the fourth quarter of last year. It cited the shipping of 20 of its 3DHD Vision Systems, double the company's shipments from the previous quarter.
The company expects to report full results for the quarter with the Securities and Exchange Commission by May 15.
