Sturbridge Insurance Agency Acquires Spencer Firm
Sturbridge's McGrath Insurance Group has acquired Prouty Insurance Agency Inc. of Spencer.
McGrath, headquartered at 258 Main St. in Sturbridge, also has an office in North Brookfield. Both agencies sell commercial, auto, homeowner's and life insurance. McGrath said the acquisition will allow Prouty to offer a greater choice of products.
McGrath was founded in 1927 and Prouty has been in Spencer almost since the town's founding, according to McGrath.
