The Patrick-Murray Administration has put several measures in place to reduce fees for small businesses in the Bay State.
The first reform, which will go into effect on July 1, eliminates the $275 vendor fee for businesses participating in Comm-Pass, the state’s procurement bidding system. The state also raised the cap on the value of contracts that must be awarded to small businesses from $50,000 to $150,000.
The second reform will remove the fee that the Health Connector charges small businesses to shop through Commonwealth Choice for insurance benefits. That change also goes into effect in July.
