Sonoma Restaurant opens in Beechwood Hotel

The Sonoma Restaurant from Princeton on Thursday completed its move into the Beechwood Hotel on Plantation Street in Worcester.

Owner Bill Brady moved his farm-to-table restaurant to the Worcester after the hotel acquired the restaurant in June. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The restaurant took the place of Ceres bistro. It reopened under the new name officially at a ribbon-cutting event Thursday.

Since opening in Princeton in 1996, Sonoma and its owner have been recognized by the travel magazine Best Places to Eat in New England, and by several local publications. Brady has been a guest on Boston TV’s Phantom Gourmet and on NECN’s TV Diner, and received the prestigious Distinguished Restaurants of North America Award.
