Should gambling panel chief resign? Voters say 'yes'

Not long after he withdrew from deliberations on the casino license for the Greater Boston area, Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby is facing calls to resign. He said his recent appearance at a private party at Suffolk Downs, one of the two candidates for the license, had threatened the commission's appearance of impartiality. His move to recuse himself opens the door to the possibility that the five-member commission could deadlock at 2-2 on which of the two applicants gets the license. Reportedly, Crosby said he won't step down. But voters in our Flash Poll for the week of May 12 felt otherwise.
