Coaching business The MotivAct Group of Holden donated more than $700 to groups that included Hudson Public Library and Jacob Edwards Library in Southbridge, through proceeds from sales of a book.

Millbury-based Girard Financial Group and Fidelity Bank of Leominster hosted a document-shredding event and accepted donations for the Owen E. Carrignan Sports Scholarship and Memorial Fund to benefit Millbury High School students.

Commerce Bank of Worcester hosted Milford High School students for a Junior Achievement of Northern New England program.
