The U.S. Small Business Administration has chosen the branch manager of its Springfield office as the new director of the SBA’s statewide office.
As district director, Robert H. Nelson will oversee the SBA’s financial assistance, entrepreneurial development and government contracting programs throughout Massachusetts. Nelson has worked for the SBA since 1998. He has also been section chief for the FDIC in Franklin and was vice president at Shawmut Bank in Rhode Island.
