For the second consecutive year, Redfin Corp., the Seattle-based real estate sales company, was the top selling brokerage in 2019 for the largest 20 communities combined in MetroWest, according to the MLS Property Information Network.

The Shrewsbury listing service calculated total sales of single- and multi-family homes, and condominiums. The dollar amounts includes sales of properties listed and sold and homes not listed but sold.

Redfin’s Canton’s office was No. 1 with $96 million in sales. The communities included in the calculation were Acton, Ashby, Ashland, Ayer, Framingham, Groton, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Littleton, Marlborough, Maynard, Natick, Pepperell, Sherborn, Shirley, Stow, Sudbury, Townsend, and Wayland.

Keller Williams Realty Boston Northwest in Concord finished in second place with $92 million in volume.

Coldwell Banker Residential in Sudbury landed in the number three spot with sales totaling $85 million. In fourth place was the Hopkinton office of Re/Max Executive Realty, which rang up nearly $70 million in sales. Completing the top five was the Keller Williams office in Westford, which had sales of $64 million.

A look at the end-of-year volume in MetroWest comes as sales of single-family homes and condominiums through November fell by 2%. according to the most recent data available from The Warren Group, the Peabody real estate data provider.

While sales slipped, median prices continued to rise.

The median MetroWest price for a single-family home rose to $560,000, a 2% rise compared to a year ago. Condo prices were up compared to last year by 3% to $464,156.
