Record Sales, Income Dip For IPG

Oxford-based laser-maker IPG Photonics Corp. reported fourth quarter net income of $8.3 million, half the $16.6 million reported for the same period the prior year.
The company reported net income of $29.8 million for all of 2007, a slight increase over the $29.2 million earned in 2006.
Company revenue, however, increased by 31 percent in the fourth quarter, from $42.1 million in 2006 to $55.1 million in 2007. For the full year, the company reported revenue of $188.7 million, compared to $143 million in 2006.
