Raytheon Co.’s Marlborough operations inked a $12.5 million deal with a Pennsylvania power company to provide a radio and communications system across a 30,000-square-mile service area in West Virginia, western Pennsylvania and parts of Maryland.
Raytheon will install its P25 digital land radio system for Allegheny Power. The system will provide better frequency and reliability to the company’s service area and will bring it into compliance with Federal Communications Commission regulations.
Allegheny has about 800 workers and serves about 1.5 million customers.
