The Worcester Railers will play no more hockey games this season, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The team was scheduled to play five more home games at the DCU Center and eight games in total, but like other sports leagues, the ECHL has called those games off.
The Railers said they are working on procedures to determine the best way to deliver credits and refunds to people who have purchased tickets for those games affected by the cancelation. The team said it will be communicating to affected parties with additional information at a later date.
“We are saddened to announce that our season has come to an end,” Railers President Michael Myers said in a statement. “We will be communicating with our members, corporate partners, and ticket holders in the near future as we develop a plan regarding the season being canceled. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support during this unprecedented time.”
