Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester is freezing its tuition and fees for 2021, the school announced on Thursday, citing concerns about how the coronavirus pandemic has financially impacted its current and future students.
“We are committed to making college affordable for anyone who wants to better their lives through higher education,” President Luis Pedraja said in a statement. “We want to remain the most cost-effective higher education option in our area, which is why we are proactively keeping our tuition rates the same for our students.”
The school charges $205 per credit, with other fees attached for things like labs and health insurance.
In announcing the tuition freeze, the school highlighted again its emergency fund developed in light of the coronavirus, providing financial aid for students who need help with basic life and educational necessities.
Worcester State University announced a tuition freeze on Sunday, indicating its fees will remain at $9,616, with a $907 tuition.
