Prestige is overrated

Big ticket schools may not assure top jobs after all. According to a study developed by Accountemps, the largest specialized staffing service in the world for finance professionals, 49 percent of CFOs polled said the prestige of the candidate's diploma when applying for an entry-level accounting or finance job was not a factor at all, while 38 percent of respondents claimed the prestige-factor for alma maters was somewhat important and 13 percent considered them very important.
