Do you have a “hate-hate” relationship with your boss? You’re not alone.
A poll conducted by Monster has revealed that 38 percent of people consider their bosses to be “horrible” while 54 percent gave their bosses negative ratings.
Monster polled more than 2,700 users of its job search site, asking them to rate their current or former bosses on a scale of 1 to 5. Only 17 percent of those responding answered “5,” representing “excellent” on the scale.
"Your relationship with your boss can do more than upset your day -- it can make or break your entire career," Mary Ellen Slayter, career advice expert for Monster, based in Weston, said in a statement. “Having an adversarial relationship with your direct superior can negatively impact your life in countless ways with daily stress and stunted career growth generally being the most common.”
