PLC Revenues Shrink

Revenues for Franklin-based PLC Systems Inc. were down for the first quarter about 32 percent compared to last year, but up slightly from the final quarter of 2009.
The company lost $561,000 on revenues of $1.06 million in the first quarter. During last year's first quarter the company lost $358,000 on revenues of $1.57 million. The company had about $900,000 in revenues during the fourth quarter of 2009.
The company specializes in cardiac and vascular medical technologies. The company's RenalGuard system is currently being used in Europe and has recently received two new patents, bringing the total patent count on the product up to four.
