The Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce, which is based in Westborough, held an awards event at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston. The award winners pictured, from left to right, are: Jimmie Ames of Hudson-based Avidia Bank; Noel Sior-Woodard of Woodard Interiors of Grafton; Ben Colonero of The Willows at Westborough; and Deborah Kochevar, who accepted the Business of the Year award on behalf of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, where she serves as dean.
Worcester-based Commerce Bank joined the Worcester Tree Initiative, the Worcester Forestry Division and local and state officials to plant trees at Holland Rink Playground in Worcester. The bank also donated $5,000 to the Worcester Tree Initiative to help replace trees destroyed by the Asian longhorned beetle.
