Of Note

Bay State Savings Bank of Worcester took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to support ALS research and treatment. Employees Jayme Burdett, Nate Pratt, Sonya Dagnese, Steve Groccia and Cheryl Begin all took part and made donations. The bank is also making a $500 donation.

Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Leominster employees packaged 20,000 meals for area food shelters, as did volunteers from Town and Country Apartments in Fitchburg and The Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster, in partnership with United Way Volunteer Center and Outreach Inc.

Unum of Worcester awarded two college scholarships for this academic year to children of employees: Nicole Mello and Noelle Scarlett.
