People’s United Bank, the Connecticut-based bank that acquired Worcester’s Flagship Bank in 2008, has opened three new branches in the Boston area.
Two of the new branches are in Boston, at 176 Federal St. and 218 Cambridge St., and the other is at 46 Bedford St. in Lexington. Danversbank, which People’s United acquired in January, had planned to open the new branches.
With the new branches, People’s United now has 59 Massachusetts locations. Altogether, it has 370 branches in New England and New York. It has $28 billion in assets.
