The Department of Revenue launched a new, modernized electronic tax system for business filers Monday at 9 a.m., with plans to have it fully operational for all taxpayers by the end of 2017.
MassTaxConnect, which replaces the previous WebFile for Business, includes a variety of updates intended to streamline the filing process and make it less costly, according to the DOR. Users will now be able to view errors prior to submitting information online, send and receive secure messages to DOR and amend filed returns electronically.
Users of WebFile for Business can access MassTaxConnect with the same login credentials.
