Antenor, Buron and LaVangie are assistant project managers; DiGeronimo is a marketing assistant. Antenor is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, with a bachelor's degree in architecture and a master's in construction management. Buron has a bachelor's in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. LaVangie also has a bachelor's degree in construction management from Wentworth. DiGeronimo is a graduate of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.
JULIE THERIAULT was named executive director of Worcester Local First. She has a background in business management in the retail industry. Theriault lives in Worcester.
DONNA BOULANGER was named to The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston First District Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. She was also named to the Worcester-based Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts Audit Committee. Boulanger is president and CEO of North Brookfield Savings Bank.
DR. TORAL PARIKH was hired by Reliant Medical Group to practice internal medicine at the Plantation Street site in Worcester. She earned her medical degree from Ross University in the Caribbean. Dr. Parikh completed her internship and residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center and is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
MELISSA HERMANS, BRENDA GOSSELIN and MARIANNIE ILUSTRE were named to new positions by Southbridge-based Savers Bank. Hermans is a customer service representative at the Auburn branch. She recently held the same position in the Uxbridge branch. Hermans lives in Grafton. Gosselin is a customer service representative at the Uxbridge branch, where she was previously a teller. Prior to her position at the bank, she worked at Shaw's as a manager of customer service. She is a resident of Whitinsville. Ilustre is the new assistant manager of the Charlton branch. Ilustre was previously a customer service representative with the bank, and before that, a teller. She lives in Sturbridge.
GEORGE WHEELER and KEVIN HAYES were promoted by Millbury Federal Credit Union. Wheeler is assistant vice president and audit officer. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence with a bachelor's in accounting. Wheeler is a resident of Uxbridge. Hayes was promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager of the Millbury office. He was previously the branch manager of the Auburn office. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Anna Maria College in Paxton.
LUCIANO PAVAN and PAUL McCOUBREY were hired by Sturbridge-based G&F Industries, a plastic injection molding company. Pavan is a senior buyer with previous plastics manufacturing experience as a buyer and master scheduler. McCoubrey is a U.S. Navy veteran with experience in manufacturing, program management and engineering.
PHILIP CIOPPA has been hired as an advisor with Private Wealth Management Group of Worcester. He is a radio talk show host, author and former Roman Catholic priest with more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Cioppa lives in Danbury, Conn.
KAREN MATT of Holden was promoted to marketing officer by Bay State Savings Bank of Worcester. She has been a bank employee since December 2010, when she was hired as a marketing assistant. Matt earned a bachelor's degree from Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
DEBORAH R. SENDROWKSI was hired as a vice president and human resources officer by Leominster-based Fidelity Bank. Prior to joining Fidelity, she was human resources director at LIN Media in Providence. Sendrowski has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Fitchburg State University. She lives in Boylston.
EMMA BRITTON was hired as director of education at Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester, a nonprofit based in the Worcester Public Library. She has a bachelor's degree in geography and a master's in teaching from Clark University. Britton is a former English teacher in the Worcester Public Schools.
WILLIAM J. KERRISSEY JR. was hired by Worcester-based Fidelity Bank as assistant vice president and branch and business development manager for the Millbury branch. Prior to joining Fidelity, he was a branch manager and assistant treasurer at Millbury Federal Credit Union.
JD CHESLOFF, ROBERT V. FERRARA and JAROD J. BLOOM were elected to the board of the Discovery Museums in Acton. Chesloff is executive director of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. He has a bachelor's degree in law and public policy and telecommunications writing from Syracuse University and a master's in public affairs from UMass Boston. Ferrara is senior director of strategic planning, communications and alumni relations for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Division of Student Life. He has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from MIT and an MBA from Harvard. Bloom is a partner at Sechrest & Bloom LLC and Sechrest Financial Services LLC. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in business administration.
MICHAEL KARANJA was hired as a clinical coordinator at Behavioral Concepts Inc. in Worcester, serving children with autism. He previously worked in a similar capacity at Melmark New England. He completed undergraduate work in his native Kenya and has a master's degree in special education from Salem State University in Salem.
SUSANNE CONLEY has been elected chair of the United Way of Tri County's board of directors. She is vice president of enrollment and student development at Framingham State University and has been a member of the board for five years. Conley graduated from Framingham State with a bachelor's degree in history and earned a master's in history from Brandeis University in Waltham, where she was director of the writing center. She earned her doctorate in higher education administration from UMass Boston.
JAMES HOW, TABATHA MAGNUSSON, LAILA MHIRIG, BETTE O'REILLY and DAVID ROSE were promoted to assistant vice presidents by Worcester-based Commerce Bank. How, of West Boylston, joined the bank in 2011 as manager of its Shrewsbury office. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Endicott College in Beverly. Magnusson, an East Brookfield resident, was an assistant branch manager in the main office. Mhirig, of Worcester, has been an employee of the bank since 2000. O'Reilly, also of Worcester, had been manager of the Westborough branch since 2011. She has a bachelor's degree from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt., and a master teacher's degree in theology from Lasell College in Newton. Rose, a Shrewsbury resident, had been manager of the Marlborough office since 2011. He has a bachelor's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a master's in music from the New England Conservatory of Music.
