MELISSA A. FETTERHOFF, MARY HEAFY, RAYMOND J. MARTINO and ERIC D. SHAPIRO were re-elected to three-year terms on the board of directors for Workers' Credit Union, based in Fitchburg. In addition, the board elected Shapiro as chairman and Martino as vice chairman. Fetterhoff is president and CEO of the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce in Ayer. Heafy is president and CEO of The Arc of Opportunity in North Central Massachusetts, in Fitchburg. Martino is president and CEO of Simonds International in Fitchburg. Shapiro is the principal and CEO of The Lexvest Group in Shirley.
JAMIE HOAG was hired as director of government and community relations for the College of the Holy Cross. He will replace interim director John B. Anderson, associate professor emeritus of history and former mayor of Worcester. Hoag most recently served in the administration of former governor Deval Patrick as director of the Governor's Office of Federal-State Relations, and then deputy chief legal counsel . Prior to that, he was a litigation associate at DLA Piper LLP. A Holy Cross graduate, he holds a master's degree in international affairs and a juris doctorate, both from American University.
JUDITH M. PARE was hired as dean of nursing and health sciences, a new program, at Becker College. A Worcester native, Pare previously served in various capacities at Southern New Hampshire University, most recently as associate dean of nursing and chief nursing administrator, as well as graduate program director and director of external partnerships for nursing and health professions. Pare has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Salem State University and a Ph.D. in education from Capella University in Minneapolis.
Also at Becker, CHRISTINE L. CASSIDY and CHERYL M. LAPRIORE were elected to the board of trustees. Cassidy is senior vice president and chief communications officer at Fallon Health. Lapriore is the senior vice president, chief of staff, and chief marketing officer for UMass Memorial Health Care, and president of UMass Memorial Health Ventures, the holding company for UMass Memorial's outside (non-hospital) business enterprises.
ANNE BRADY was hired, and KATHY HIGGINS and DAVE GOLDEN were named branch managers by North Brookfield Savings Bank (NBSB). Brady, of Hardwick, is an accounting clerk who previously worked as assistant accounting supervisor at Country Bank for Savings. Higgins, previously an assistant branch manager, was promoted to Palmer branch manager. She worked at Southbridge Savings Bank for four years before joining NBSB in 2010. Golden, the former Palmer branch manager, is taking over for the retiring Sheila Nadolski as branch manager at Three Rivers Village. He holds a bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State College. Prior to joining NBSB in 2009, he was a branch manager at Sovereign Bank, now Santander.
DR. ANJALI MEHTA was hired by Reliant Medical Group's department of otolaryngology and allergy. She will practice at Saint Vincent Hospital. With a medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, she completed a surgical internship and a residency in head and neck surgery, both at University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore.
JOANNE MORSE, BRENNAN CAMPBELL, ZACH LAVOIE and NATASHA WINSLOW were promoted by Fidelity Bank. Both Morse, a Shirley resident, and Campbell, of Auburn, were named commercial relationship managers. Lavoie, of Fitchburg, was promoted from small business portfolio manager to small business credit specialist. Winslow, who joined the bank last year, was promoted from senior credit analyst to commercial portfolio manager. She lives in Leominster.
JEREMY LEAP was hired as vice president of commercial lending at Southbridge-based Savers Bank. He was previously vice president of commercial lending at Country Bank and before that, held commercial lending positions at People's United Bank. Leap has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Pittsburgh.
DEAN YEATER and MARY GREENLEE were hired by Baesis of Northborough, a software reseller for the manufacturing industry. Yeater, who will work on the help desk, is a Sage 100 ERP certified consultant. Greenlee is a CRM practice manager.
MICHAEL P. MCDONOUGH was elected a trustee; PETER S. BALESANO and JOHN K. ESLER were elected corporators; and KELLY B. ROY and ANA VASCONCELOS were promoted to officer roles at Millbury Savings Bank. McDonough has served as a bank corporator since 2010. He's a certified public accountant and founding partner of the tax and accounting firm McDonough, McDonough & Corsini, of Sutton. The Grafton resident holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Syracuse University. Balesano, who will serve a 10-year term, is senior director of wealth management at BNY Mellon. The Auburn resident has a bachelor's degree in economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Clark University. Esler, of Sutton, owns four Renewal by Andersen dealerships across the U.S. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance and economics from the University of New York at Albany and a master's in entrepreneurial studies and marketing from Babson College. Roy, who joined Millbury Savings in 2000 as a loan servicing supervisor, was promoted to loan operations officer. She lives in Millbury. Vasconcelos, who joined the bank in 2014 as assistant controller, was named finance and accounting officer. She holds a bachelor's degree in finance from UMass Dartmouth and an MBA from Bryant University.
DANIEL BROTHERS was promoted to Blackstone branch manager of UniBank, based in Whitinsville. He has been with UniBank for more than three years, working most recently as a relationship banking supervisor at the Whitinsville main office. He has a bachelor's degree in management from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
MATT DUFAULT was hired as assistant vice president of mortgage origination and sales at Leominster Credit Union. He was most recently a senior loan officer at Mackinac Savings Bank in Auburn, and owned and operated Country Home Mortgage Corp. in Central Massachusetts for many years. He previously worked in senior residential lending positions at Merrimack Mortgage Co., GIA Mortgage Corp. and Northern Mortgage Co. The Holden resident holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Assumption College.
EMILY WEST was appointed senior vice president and chief operating officer of Fallon Health in Worcester, where the Sterling resident has held various leadership roles since 1989. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Assumption College.
