JOY KINNEAR was hired as senior business advisor and training director for the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center's Central Region Office at Clark University in Worcester. She's replacing Michael Holbrook, who is retiring. Previously, Kinnear co-founded a medical practice management firm, serving as president until its acquisition by Medical Data Services. She also led sales, operations and service delivery for Shareholder.com and the NASDAQ OMX Group. Kinnear graduated from Clark and holds a master's degree in law and diplomacy from Tufts University.
LAURA PEARSALL, HEATHER SARASIN, ROBERT COURTEMANCHE, HEATHER FINNERTY, AMY BONILLA and AMANDA McGRATH have all been promoted by Rollstone Bank & Trust, which has locations in Central Massachusetts. Pearsall and Sarasin were named vice presidents in the retail division. They joined the bank in 2001 and 2002, respectively. Both will serve as branch managers. Courtemanche and Finnerty — also in the retail division — were promoted to branch managers. Courtemanche joined the bank in 2011; Finnerty in 2009. Bonilla, who joined RBT in 1999, was promoted to assistant vice president of human resources. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in mass communication. McGrath was named a credit officer. She joined the bank in 2007 and entered its internship program in 2010 after graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was promoted to credit analyst in 2011.
STACEY VEGA was hired by Maynard-based construction firm JM Coull Inc. as business development manager. The Foxborough resident holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and communications from Villanova University.
THOMAS W. McMULLEN was promoted by Gardner-based Grantham Corp. Inc. to vice president of operations. Grantham is the employee service provider of Christopher Heights — with assisted living residences in Worcester, Webster, Attleborough and Marlborough — and Heywood Wakefield Commons assisted living in Gardner. McMullen was most recently executive director of Heywood Wakefield, and before that, for the Worcester and Webster residences. Prior to McMullen's 12 years with Grantham, he ran a senior center near Springfield. In his new role, he will serve as executive director for Grantham's newest residence, Christopher Heights of Northampton, which will open in the fall. He will also serve as direct supervisor to the executive director at Heywood Wakefield.
RYAN TAYLOR was hired by Albright Technologies in Leominster, which makes silicone molding components. He will serve as new business development specialist. Taylor began his career with Nitrofreeze as a product marketing specialist and worked his way up to operations manager.
DEREK T. WELCH was hired as chief financial officer at Arrhythmia Research Technology in Fitchburg, a manufacturer of signal averaging, cardiovascular and hemodynamics products. He has been the company's principal financial officer and principal accounting officer since the fall of 2013. He was previously assistant corporate controller for Alere Inc. in Waltham and assistant controller of the medical services division of Fresenius Medical Care, also in Waltham. Welch earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
PETER DENNIS was hired by The Varallo Group of Worcester, which provides services to the court-reporting industry, as vice president of sales. Dennis previously worked as PMD Sales Training & Consulting of Westborough. A resident of Grafton, he is a Boston College graduate.
ROBERT JACOBSON has joined R. H. White Cos. of Auburn, as chief financial officer. He's a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. He also holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
TARA O'CONNOR was named associate director of the Worcester office of BAYADA Home Health Care. The company is headquartered in Moorestown, N.J. She was formerly chief financial officer and executive director for various Central Massachusetts nonprofits. O'Connor holds a bachelor's degree from Skidmore College and a master's in business management from Lesley University. She is a native and resident of Worcester.
Dr. TEDDI BACHAWATY has joined Harrington Physician Services' obstetrics-gynecology practice in Southbridge. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been working within that discipline for seven years. His most recent position was chief of obstetrics at the Western Massachusetts OB/GYN Holyoke Medical Center in Holyoke.
MYCHELLE PHILLIPS, LYDIA VAZQUEZ-LONG and JOYCE CUTLER have been promoted by Leominster Credit Union. Phillips, who joined the credit union in 2003, is now vice president of operations. The West Boylston resident is working toward a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in management. She holds a similar associate's degree from Northeastern University. Vazquez-Long, of Boylston, was promoted to assistant vice president of residential lending and fair lending compliance. She has been with LCU since 2013. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in fair lending, compliance, Fannie Mae guidelines and underwriting. Cutler, of Sterling, was promoted to assistant vice president and is manager of the West Boylston Street branch. Cutler, who has been with LCU since 2008, when she was hired as a member service representative, was promoted in 2009 to manage the Sterling branch.
