Monster Worldwide Inc., which has operations in Maynard, has completed the acquisition of Yahoo HotJobs for $225 million in cash.
The acquisition includes a three-year agreement that makes Monster the exclusive provider of career and job content on the Yahoo homepage in the United States and Canada.
Monster estimates that the acquisition will allow it to reach 62 percent of the American “Internet population.” It also gives Monster partnerships with 600 newspaper previously controlled by Yahoo.
Before the acquisition, Monster had a presence in 400 American newspapers.
