Mind your manners

Good thing mom always reminded you to say please and thank you. A recent study by NFI Research showed that good manners are a huge factor in advancing your career. Ninety-five percent of executives and managers surveyed said good manners are an important step in career advancement. Of the nearly 250 senior executives that responded, 93 percent said that good manners are frequently practiced in the work place. It seems the smaller the organization, the better your manners should be. In the small business sector, 70 percent of executives said that good manners are an integral part of advancing your career, compared with 55 percent in larger organizations.
