Q. How are you settling in at your new office?

A. Very well. We moved into new space before I started, so everything is brand new.

Q. What's the biggest surprise you've had in starting the job?
A. Our teams in the United Kingdom and the United States are very committed and dedicated to being successful.

Q. What challenges do you see in your new position?
A. Like many organizations, we are challenged with driving revenue and meeting our growth expectations for 2009/2010 in a down economy. But, as long as we stay focused on our customers and partners, we should be able to meet our goals.

Q. How different is this job from your previous position?
A. My last position involved selling and working with different partners than this job does. But I've set up many different channel models before and found those skills to work across industries and vertical markets.

Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
A. In high school, I wanted to be a lawyer or a sports agent. I didn't take that path, but I always knew that I was stronger in English and the social sciences than in math and science.

Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?

A. Harry's Diner on Route 9 in Westborough.

Q. What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

A. This is a tough one... but I hope to be doing two things. First, running a software or technology company in the Boston area. Second, I hope to have the resources and time to help others, either through mentoring or volunteering. There are many great organizations, like CityYear, that need support.
