Joe Cox has served as president of the EcoTarium in Worcester since October 2012. He was previously the founding executive director of the Golisano Children's Museum of Naples. Prior to moving to Massachusetts he worked in the museum field for 16 years in Florida, having previously served as director of the Conservancy Nature Center. He holds a bachelor's degree in environmental science from St. Mary's University in London with a focus on environmental law and paleo quaternary biogeography, and completed his master's in museum studies from the University of Leicester. He was the recipient of a Smithsonian Fellowship in Museum Practice, based at the National Zoo and National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. He also completed the prestigious Getty Museum Leadership Institute at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. He is past chair of the Florida Association of Museums Foundation, a statewide organization dedicated to professional development for the museum field.
Rodney Capron, a 2008 Worcester Business Journal 40 Under Forty alumnus, is a long-time entrepreneur who has been owner/founder of four web and software development firms over the past 20 years. He is president and CEO of two companies in Northborough: Synthenet Corp., a web development firm founded in 1998, and Pongo LLC, an online service providing career tools and support to job seekers, which was formed in 2003. His years of sales, management and technology experience enable him to architect complex web-based solutions for business and consumer needs.
Barbara Clifford relocated to Massachusetts in 2002 to lead the Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce as its president. Within six months, Corridor Nine ended its 24-year affiliation with the Worcester chamber and became an independent chamber.
Clifford previously ran a women's clothing catalog in the heart of the garment center in New York City for 20 years. She serves on the boards of the 495 MetroWest Partnership, the Worcester Regional Research Bureau and the Worcester Economic Club.
Maureen Grenier, a 2010 WBJ 40 Under Forty alumnus, is marketing manager at Mirick O'Connell. She leads her team in the management, development and implementation of the law firm's marketing, business development and client satisfaction programs. She is also responsible for the creation of all advertising; coordination of special events, client receptions and educational seminars; media and vendor relations; social media strategies; sponsorships and community involvement; as well as the development of content marketing, including website, blogs, newsletters and client advisories. She was project manager for the firm's award-winning website and marketing brochures. Maureen is an active member of the Legal Marketing Association and serves on its 2013 New England Conference Committee. She also coordinates the firm's United Way Workplace Campaign and volunteers for the United Way's Day of Caring.
