As predicted, gas prices in Massachusetts have begun to fall as oil refineries in the Gulf Coast are booting back up after being hammered by hurricanes the last two weeks.Â
According to AAA, self-service, regular unleaded gasoline is averaging $2.65 per gallon, three cents above the national average but five cents down from last week’s average of $2.70.Â
Earlier this month, AAA said Hurricane Harvey led to a 44-cent spike from the week before the storm crashed into the Gulf Coast.
Gas prices should continue to fall, AAA said.
