Mid-State Insurance Agency in Worcester has been acquired by the Hilb Group, LLC (THG), a property and casualty insurance and employee benefits broker based in Richmond, Va,
Mid-State will continue to operate out of its two offices in Worcester and Taunton and its employees and managing partners will join THG, the brokerage said in a press release.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal was completed Sept. 1.
In a statement, THG CEO Ricky Spiro said Mid-State’s products and services for auto dealerships add depth to the company’s New England operations.
According to THG’s website, the company’s three Massachusetts locations are in the Greater Boston area and in the southeastern part of the state. THG also operates two locations in Connecticut, four in Rhode Island and two each in Vermont and New Hampshire.
The Mid-State acquisition is THG’s 37th since the company was founded in 2009, THG said.
