Marlborough firm makes Maine acquisition
Marlborough-based IT infrastructure firm Versatile Communications Inc. has agreed to acquire the distribution division of GreenPages Technology Solutions Inc. of Kittery, Maine, the companies announced.
Versatile said it launched its own Versatile Distribution Services (VDS) arm in 2013 to “build upon its existing high-performance computing workflow expertise supporting manufacturers, independent software vendors and value added reseller channel partners.”
According to the company, VDS “supports the distribution and integration needs of independent software vendors, hardware manufacturers and value-added resellers throughout the Americas.”
The company hopes to add to its offerings, accelerate strategic growth and differentiate itself from competitors by offering more options and services through the acquisition of the distribution group, called GPDistribution.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Versatile also has locations in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
