Worcester-based construction firm F.W Madigan is now entering its fourth generation of family operation, as Andrew Madigan has been added to the firm’s ownership team and elevated to the role of CFO.
Andrew Madigan, son of Director of Risk Management Francis Madigan and nephew of President and CEO James Madigan, has been promoted to CFO after serving in a role supporting operations and business development since 2016, according to a press release issued by the company on Tuesday.
“I’m excited and honored to represent a fourth generation of Madigan ownership at the company,” Andrew Madigan said in the press release. “It is an exciting time to own a business in the city of Worcester. Our roots have always been here. As we enter 2025 with the largest project backlog in our company’s history and work on transformative projects like the Residences at Lincoln Square, we are well-positioned for continued success.”
F.W. Madigan was started by Andrew’s great-grandfather in 1937. The firm is handling construction of the $52-million redevelopment of the former Boys Club in Worcester’s Lincoln Square into senior housing.
F.W Madigan is the 14th largest commercial contractor in Central Massachusetts, with 29 employees and $26 million in annual revenue, according to data provided by the WBJ Research Department. Milford-based Consigli Building Group is the largest, with 850 local employees.
