The breakfast and lunch restaurant Livia’s Dish will open a new location this summer on Park Avenue in Worcester.
The decision was easy for husband-and-wife team Oriola Koci and Enton Mehillaj when the opportunity came to purchase the 295 Park Ave. property and open a second restaurant. Following the four year success of their current restaurant, they had been looking for somewhere in the city to open a second restaurant and then found the Park Avenue location that currently houses Shiraz.
“We have been here for four years, and we are overwhelmed with the acceptance and support this community has given us,” Koci said. “We felt there was room for more in a big city that is developing every day.”
The sister restaurant to Livia’s Dish -- named after the couple’s youngest daughter -- will be named after their oldest daughter Altea, although the exact concept and hours of the new location have yet to be set. The couple plans to iron out those details as they undertake a renovation of the location, but Koci said that the comforting atmosphere of Livia’s Dish that served breakfast and lunch every day will continue at the new location.
Koci stressed the couple is still committed to continuing to serve the community at their current location as well. The couple will be expanding that dining experience with a patio this summer with seating for 20.
