Worcester's Killeen Manufacturing has bought a former F.W. Webb building on Sword Street in Auburn for $2.5 million.

The sale of 43 Sword St. comes about a year after F.W. Webb, an industrial supplies seller, paid nearly $4.8 million for another building just down the street at 33 Sword St., where it now has a retail showroom and wholesale operations.

The 3.6-acre site at 43 Sword St. was bought by a limited liability corporation registered to Gene Degre, the president of Killeen Manufacturing, which includes Killeen Machine Tool Co. and Killeen Security Products. The sale closed Feb. 19.

The seller was a limited liability corporation registered to Robert Mucciarone, the treasurer and COO of F.W. Webb. The same entity bought F.W. Webb's new property at 33 Sword St. in January 2019 for just under $4.8 million.
