Johnson Replaces Handel At Women's Center

Carrie Johnson was named director of the Worcester office of the Center for Women & Enterprise , replacing Sherry Handel, who is moving to Rochester, N.Y., with her husband.

Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in developing and implementing training programs, new business development and client relationship management programs. She was most recently marketing manager at Southborough-based business consulting firm Expense Management Solutions.

In addition to founding her own company, she was a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, the MetroWest Daily News and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

She has been a board member of the New England Minority Supplier Diversity Council; the Center for Women & Enterprise; the Wayside Youth and Family Support Network and the Framingham Civic League.

Handel was the director of CWE’s Worcester office for a little over a year after eight years as a publishing entrepreneur specializing in media for young girls and women.
