Job Openings Flat In June

The number of job openings in the United States stayed flat from May to June, according to a report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

There were 3.1 million openings in June, compared to 3 million in May. However, year over year the number of openings increased 15 percent, up from 2.7 million.

The sectors of the economy that saw the largest increases in job openings were: mining and logging, retail trade, professional and business services and health care and social assistance.
