Framingham beermaker Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers is revamping its beer hall and taproom experience with the hire of a new executive chef and an updated food menu.
Ian Maschal, the former chef at Greater Boston restaurants Eventide Fenway, Menton and Bar Mezzana, will work to tailor the menu to compliment the brewery’s wide selection of beer using locally-sourced ingredients, the brewery said in an announcement.
A selection of wood-fired pizzas, a current menu cornerstone, will remain, while other dishes will be offered on a rotating basis.
Maschal will work alongside Director of Hospitality Megan Parker-Gray to tweak the customer experience, the brewery said.
The brewery is one of the largest in Massachusetts in terms of production and the second most productive brewery in Central Massachusetts, behind only Wachusett Brewing Co.
The 175-seat brewpub opened in 2015 when the brewery relocated all operations from its home on Morton Street.
